Training Courses

CAEvolution GmbH offers training courses for the application of the Finite Element Method (FEM) These courses are mainly addressed to (Design) Engineers who aim to re-fresh and deepen their knowledge in terms of “Technical Mechanics”, “How to use FEM?” and “Challenges and Trends in Computer Aided Engineering”.

The content at a glance:

  • Revision of the basic principles of Technical Mechanics
    Items to be discussed are i.e.:
    • Equilibrium - constraints - exterior & interior loading - displacements, strains & stresses
    • Typical load cases like tension & compression, shear, bending, torsion, combined loadings
    • Material behavior
    • Fundamentals of dynamics – discrete and continuous vibrations – natural and forced vibrations - eigenfrequencies & normal modes analysis – damping – dynamic solution techniques.
  • Introduction to the Finite Element Method
    Items to be discussed are i.e.:
    • The basic principles of the FEM – elemental stiffness matrix – global stiffness matrix – element classification
    • Linear statics and normal modes analysis
    • What are nonlinearities?
    • Optimization
    • Multidisciplinary analysis
    • Performance
  • Challenges and Trends in Computer Aided Engineering

The courses will be held in German language (upon request also available in English, of course).
